Last updated: 19 Sep, 2018

The Azure License Profile Manager desktop console is a MMC console with the Remote Agent for Azure AD snapin added.  The desktop shortcut is normally added as part of the installation procedure for this desktop console.  This article describes how to uninstall the MMC snap-in files which unregisters the snapin from Windows.

Uninstalling the Remote Agent for Azure AD MMC snap-in files is normally performed if migrating Identity Maestro or ServiceControl 4.0.3 to a new Windows host server,

This procedure involves:

Applies to

  • Identity Maestro 4.0.4+
  • ServiceControl 4.0.3

Backup the Remote Agent for Azure AD .PKG Files

Both the Remote Agent for Azure AD web application and the Azure License Profile Manager desktop console read and write to the connection and license profile .PKG files.  Before uninstalling you should create a copy of the following folders which contain the .PKG files:

  • for Identity Maestro, create a copy of the C:\Program Files (x86)\Omni\IdentityMaestro\WorkflowEngine\RemoteAgents\Omni.RA.Microsoft.AzureAD.Agent\App_Data folder.

  • for ServiceControl, create a copy of the  C:\Program Files (x86)\Omni\ServiceControl\WorkflowEngine\RemoteAgents\Omni.RA.Microsoft.AzureAD.Agent\App_Data folder.

Important Note about the Azure Profile License Profile desktop console:  Prior to uninstalling the Azure License Profile Manager MMC snap-in files, do not delete or remove the desktop shortcut for the Azure Profile License Manager desktop console if you plan to upgrade to the latest release of Identity Maestro or upgrade from an earlier version of ServiceControl to the 4.0.3 release.  Once the newer version of the MMC snap-in files are installed, that desktop shortcut will work as before except it will use the newer MMC snap-in files.
